CodeLab exercises

CodeLab is used for exercises.
In CIS 22A students are REQUIRED to do the exercises, and they are part of the grade.
In CIS 22B students are NOT required to do the exercises, and they are not part of the grade.

Set up CodeLab account

Link to catalyst. Log in to Catalyst. Select your CIS C++ course. Copy your CodeLab section access code. Log out of Catalyst.

Do NOT buy CodeLab - It is free for De Anza students.
(De Anza has paid for a site license for all CIS students taking classes that use CodeLab.)
Go to one of the turingscraft web sites.
Click: Register for CodeLab
Select: STUDENT and then Click: Continue
Section Access Code: PASTE the section access code you copied from Catalyst HERE
and then click: Continue
Choose your University: DeAnza and then click: Continue
Enter your e-mail address that you used when you registered at De Anza,
Enter it again, and then click: Continue
Enter your choice of password and enter it again, then click continue
Enter your first names and last names, as you used when you registered at De Anza
Click the I ACCEPT box, and then click continue.

Login

You can continue from setting up your CodeLab account, or return to one of the web sites later and login.
To continue from setting up your account:
Click on GO LOGIN
Note that the area to type your solution is BELOW the SUBMIT button.
There are two or more scroll bars. You may need to scroll up and down in the CodeLab WORK AREA scroll bar.
You may also need to scroll up and down in your window scroll bar.

CIS 22A students are graded on the number of exercises you complete on time. It does not affect your grade if you submit wrong solutions, provided you then submit a correct solution.
You also receive a somewhat lower grade for correct exercises you turn in late, but before the ending time on Friday of the last week of the term.
You get no credit for exercises which are not completed correctly.
Click EXIT to log out.
